Professional Senior PicturesSenior Pictures “Your Best Look”

It’s time for your senior pictures and your thinking what should I wear?  Some decisions are easy. If your a boy you will probably choose a suit, sweater or shirt and tie for your head and shoulder portrait, and if your a girl a nice long sleeve sweater or blouse in a solid color. After that decision is made you really start to think what else do I want to wear?
Now the fun begins. These senior pictures are all about your unique style. What are you into sports, music, theater, shoes, hats or do you like to dress up, maybe your look is alternative. What about jeans and a t-shirt for a casual look. Who are you and what is your look! There are some things you want to remember, bold prints are Ok for somethings but you would not want all of the outfits to have them.  Solids or smaller muted prints generally photograph better because they tend to be less distracting, keeping the focus on you. Choose colors that go well with your skin tone. keep in mind that lighter colors, tight fitting tops and horizontal lines tend to accent weight.  Darker colors and vertical lines have a slimming effect.  Watch those tan lines it could effect what you decide to wear.
If your having outdoor senior pictures taken remember natures backgrounds have lots of textures and patterns so solids or muted patterns work best.  Girls if you are thinking about wearing a dress or skirt outside keep in mind it can limit the posing if it is too short, jeans or capris will be less restricting.  Bring a hoodie or jacket just to throw on and off. You may want to go barefoot in some.
Hot Tip: Lay your clothes on your bed and see how they look. If it looks like you have all the same style or similar colors, too many patterns or too much black and gray, think about changing it up with some color or a funky outfit.
Makeup
Apply your makeup as you normally would.  If you have your makeup professionally done make sure the makeup artist doesn’t over do it and considers your age group.  If your a guy with a few blemishes a little coverup works good to hide them.
